AdviceOS – Datafeeds

AdviceOS uses the services of InvestmentLink for its portfolio data feeds. InvestmentLink has a long established track record for delivering quality investment information to financial service software vendors. The below dealer group and adviser registration booklets need to be completed by each adviser and their dealer group if they wish to establish data feeds links for use within AdviceOS.  Your dealer group will also need to sign the InvestmentLink Licensee Agreement. The forms that need to be completed are listed below:

              1. Dealer Group – application booklet (Documents to be completed by your dealer group)
              2. Adviser – application booklet  (Documents to be completed by each adviser)
              3. InvestmentLink licensee agreement -no fees  (Document to be completed by your dealer group)

Note : Midwinter may already have received completed copies of the InvestmentLink License Agreement and the Dealer Group forms contained in the application booklet if an adviser within your dealer group has already registered for data feeds within AdviceOS. The InvestmentLink License Agreement is an agreement between InvestmentLink and the licensee. It needs to be signed by the licensee (AFSL or dealer group). It gives InvestmentLink the authority to provide Midwinter with data feeds.  This agreement needs to be signed by all licensees that want data feeds within AdviceOS. Please email info@midwinter.com.au to check if your dealer group has already registered for data feeds for AdviceOS through InvestmentLink.

Dealer group registration summary

The below information should be used as a guide when completing the various forms contained in the Dealer Group – Application Booklet. The forms contained within the Application Booklet authorises each fund (used by the dealer group) to connect to InvestmentLink. The data feeds will then be made available to advisers that subscribe to data feeds through AdviceOS. For more information please refer to the Dealer Group Application Guide or call Midwinter on 1300 882 938. Certain funds require dealer group approval before InvestmentLink can receive data feeds. There are three different types of approval listed below:

Individual fund consent forms 

Single consent form to open data to InvestmentLink -­ this covers a number of funds (Form #001)

Letters of authority

Certain funds managers require an authorisation letter on Dealer Group Letterhead. These funds managers are listed below:

            • Bendigo & Adelaide Bank
            • Sandhurst Trustees Ltd
            • Blackrock
            • Russell Investments
                        • Netwealth
                        • Praemium
                        • Platinum Investment Management
                        • OneVue Ltd 

Each letter template (Forms #002 ‐ 008) for the above fund managers is contained in the Dealer Group – Application Booklet. Soft copy templates can be obtained by emailing helpdesk@investmentlink.com.au or calling the InvestmentLink Helpdesk on 1300 555 113.

Website log in for Dealer Group level access

Some funds have websites that allow InvestmentLink to directly download data feeds. For these funds InvestmentLink will require a dealer group username and passwords. There are two methods of obtaining these dealer group user names and passwords.

Funds requiring custom application form: If your dealer group is already registered for platform online access and has a username and password login please provide the login and password details on the Data Feed Request Form (Dealer Group) (Form #001). If not the below forms should be completed (#009 to 011) for the below funds.

              • Macquarie Retail Funds (Including CMA) (FORM #009)
              • Macquarie Wrap Solutions & Badges  (FORM #009)
              • FirstWrap  (FORM #010)
              • OnePath PortfolioOne (FORM #011)

Funds requiring a telephone call from a Dealer Group authorised person: If your dealer groups already registered for platform online access and has a username and password login, please provide the login and password details on the Data Feed Request Form (Dealer Group) (Form #001). If the dealer group has not registered for online access, an authorised person for the account needs to call the platform to create obtain online access account at the Dealer Group level. The platforms requiring a telephone call from a Dealer Group authorised person to gain access (if not yet obtained) are:

              • Asgard Capital Management
              • Oasis
              • BT Wrap
              • Navigator

Funds that require a telephone call from an authorised person at the Dealer Group to obtain the username and password to access data at Dealer Group level.

Below is an outline of the the various forms and requirements contained in the Adviser Application Booklet. This forms in  the booklet  authorise InvestmentLink to obtain and provide relevant
transaction and balance data to an Adviser through AdviceOS.
